One of my personal best views of 2025.
I didn’t have a packraft with me this day — just my feet on the trail. Standing on the KCT (Kussharo Caldera Trail), looking down over Lake Kussharo, the headwaters of the Kushiro River spreading out below me.
The lake and the sky and the forest lay quietly layered together. A place that gave you the full sense of scale — that a river begins here, finds its way through the land, and eventually reaches the sea.
As 2025 draws to a close, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported Packraft Hokkaido this year. I hope that 2026 brings you good time in the field, wherever your rivers take you.

AlpackaRaft pre-orders are currently paused, but reservations are scheduled to reopen on January 5, 2026, at updated prices reflecting changes in exchange rates and import duties. New pricing is already reflected in the Web Shop.
A new year. New rivers. A new boat, perhaps.
