Getting a snack, refilling a water bottle, applying sunscreen — on a packraft, these small tasks are surprisingly inconvenient. The bow bag is forward and requires reaching. The pack is behind you.
The Lap Bag solves this by sitting between your legs, just below the seat — within natural reach while paddling. Everything you need frequently, right where you can get to it without stopping.
What’s New in the New Lap Bag
The New Lap Bag updates the attachment hardware from a plastic D-ring to a Gatekeeper Lock Hook. This change significantly expands the range of compatible AlpackaRaft models — including the Mage self-bailer.
Key Features
Between-the-legs placement for paddling access Positioned below the seat, between your legs. You can reach it naturally while seated and paddling — no need to stop, lean forward, or dig through a bow bag.
TRU® waterproof zipper Uses NiteIze’s TRU® zipper — a waterproof zipper that opens and closes with less force than a T-Zip. Easy to operate one-handed while on the water.
Gatekeeper Lock Hook for broader compatibility The new attachment hardware expands compatibility well beyond the previous plastic D-ring version, reaching most current AlpackaRaft models including the Mage.
Model Compatibility
New Lap Bag (Gatekeeper Lock Hook) — compatible with most models excluding the Forager, Rendezvous, and Ghost. Works with the Mage self-bailer.
