The Hybrid Bow Bag is designed around this specific situation. A heavy-duty zipper that opens with one hand. A mesh-bottom main compartment that drains and handles wet gear. A dry bag or liner that pulls out entirely onto your lap for access. Wet and dry, in one bag, without the usual tradeoffs.

Key Features

One-hand zipper operation

The main zipper opens and closes with a single hand — the other can stay on the paddle or brace the boat. This is the central design decision of the Hybrid Bow Bag: it assumes you’ll be accessing it on the water, not on shore.

Note: This is not a waterproof zipper. Anything that needs to stay dry should go inside a liner, wrap bag, or small dry bag before being placed in the main compartment.

Separate storage for wet and dry gear

Wet gear → main compartment: Pogies, water bottles, the Pack-A-Pump, anything that can get wet goes directly into the main bag. The mesh bottom drains water rather than pooling it.

Dry gear → liner or dry bag inside: Food, electronics, spare layers — anything moisture-sensitive goes inside a liner (Hybrid Bow Bag Liner, sold separately) or a small dry bag, then into the main compartment.

Pull the liner out onto your lap

The liner or dry bag pulls out entirely from the main compartment. Access the contents on your lap rather than reaching into the bow. A simple feature that meaningfully reduces the time spent digging through a bag while on the water.

Four quick-attach buckles

Attaches to the front grab loops of an AlpackaRaft via four quick-attach buckles. Secure, removable, and compatible with AlpackaRaft’s standard attachment points.
