AlpackaRaft’s Custom Lab is a made-to-order program that lets you specify your own fabric, colors, deck configuration, thigh strap setup, and add-ons — then have it handmade from raw material in Mancos, Colorado.
This page is the Custom Lab order intake for the Expedition model.
What Custom Lab Makes Possible

How to Order
Step 1 — Download the worksheet
Download the Expedition custom order worksheet:

Note: The first page (“Instructions”) can be left blank. Fill in the second page only.
Step 2 — Complete the worksheet
Select your fabric, colors, deck configuration, and add-on options.
Step 3 — Send via shop chat and request a quote
Attach the completed worksheet and send it via the shop chat (desktop: message icon at bottom right; mobile: “Ask the shop” at the bottom of the screen). We’ll send you a quote.
Step 4 — Approve the quote and pay via your dedicated page
Once you approve the quote, we’ll send you a link to a custom payment page created specifically for your order.
Step 5 — Production and shipping
Production begins after payment is received. Custom Lab boats are cut from raw fabric in small quantities, so manufacturing takes longer than standard models (standard: approx. 1.5 months). We’ll notify you via chat once a ship date is confirmed.

Custom Options
Deck Configuration
WW Deck (Whitewater Deck) Fixed spray dock coaming with integrated PEX rim pole. Compatible with all AlpackaRaft spray skirts (sold separately). Maximum dryness and thermal retention. (+¥0)
Removable Deck Most of the deck detaches via zipper and hook-and-loop for open-top use — useful for calm days or bringing a dog. When attached, protects the cockpit in light and whitewater conditions. Less dry and less thermally efficient than the WW deck. (+¥32,000)
Thigh Strap and Foot Brace Add-Ons
3-Point Thigh Straps + Foot Brace Offset D-rings at the rear interior sides, ankle plate at the front interior, 3-position ladder plate on the tube top. Includes backband, 3-point thigh straps, and WW foot brace. ※ Not compatible with 4-point thigh straps. (+¥0)
4-Point Thigh Straps + Foot Brace Offset D-rings at the rear interior sides, ankle plate at the front interior, 12-position adjustable ladder plate on the tube top. Includes backband, 4-point thigh straps, and WW foot brace. Also compatible with separately sold 3-point thigh straps. (+¥8,000)
